Last Updated: 10/23/2024
Thank you for choosing to use Soundbrain's integration app ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our service, which integrates the Omi app with your Google Drive account.
By using our app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
a. Google Drive Access
- We only request access to create and write to a specific folder in your Google Drive
- We cannot read, access, or retrieve any files - even ones we've helped store
- Our access is strictly limited to creating new WAV files in your designated folder
b. Audio Data Handling
- We act as a pass-through service only - receiving WAV files from OMI and forwarding to Google Drive
- No audio data is ever stored on our servers
- We cannot access or retrieve any audio files after they're saved to Google Drive
- All audio processing happens in memory and is immediately discarded after upload
c. User Configuration Settings
- We collect the configuration settings you choose within our app, such as the sections of incoming data from the Omi app that you wish to save to Google Drive.
d. User ID (UID)
- We store a unique user identifier (UID) to associate your Google OAuth token and configuration settings with your account.
d. Incoming Webhook Data
- Our app processes incoming data from the Omi app via webhooks. This data is passed through our server to your Google Drive but is not stored on our servers.
2. How We Use Your Information
- File Creation in Google Drive: We use your Google Drive access to create an "Omi" folder and store plain text files within it.
- Individual File Storage: Each memory from the Omi app is saved as a separate, date-and-time stamped text file within the "Omi" folder.
- Limited Scope: Our app can only interact with the files it creates within the "Omi" folder. We cannot access or modify any other content in your Google Drive.
- Customization: Your configuration settings determine which sections of the incoming data are saved to your Google Drive.
3. Data Storage and Security
- Secure Storage: Your Google OAuth token, configuration settings, and UID are stored securely in our PostgreSQL database. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data.
- Access Control: No other users have access to your stored information. We ensure strict access controls to prevent unauthorized access.
- Minimal Data Retention: We do not store any other user data in our database. All logs are disabled or configured not to log any incoming user information in the production environment.
4. Disclosure of Your Information
- Third-Party Access: We do not share, sell, or disclose your personal information to third parties.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
5. Your Choices
- Revoking Access: You can revoke our app's access to your Google Drive account at any time through your Google account settings.
- Updating Information: If you wish to update your configuration settings, you can do so within the app's settings page.
- Data Deletion: To request deletion of your stored data, please contact us using the information provided below.
6. Children's Privacy
Our app is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and become aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to remove that information.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
